Who are we: We're the largest group of Tartan boat owners on the Chesapeake Bay. Our boats range from T27's to T4600's and range in vintage from 1965 to 2006. Some of us are world wide travelers, some will be one day... Whatever our differences, we share a common love: sailing our Tartans, wherever and whenever we can. Come join us! Where are we: In case you're not from the (East Coast) U.S.A., we're located in the Annapolis, Maryland area, the "sailing capital of the world". Our members are both local and out of state. Our members hail from Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia. What do we do: We specialize in having FUN, both during the sailing season and during the winter, both on the water and on land. We also have a monthly newsletter to keep everyone up to date on what's happening. How do we do this: It begins in January of each year, when we meet to layout our calendar of events for the upcoming year. During the sailing season (April - Nov.) we have frequent (monthly) rendezvous throughout the Chesapeake Bay. Early in the spring we usually have our Icebreaker Symposium, where we bring in local experts to help us stay current, provide a forum for informal education, and to renew acquaintances of the fleeting winter. Another, not to be missed event is our, Annual Crab Feast that's usually held mid-summer! And a "Feast" it is! Usually about 10 - 15 boats come by sea, in addition to the 30-40 people that come by land. One of the most popular events every year -- a good time is had by all. How many crabs can YOU eat? We also have week long cruises, a fall regatta, a business meeting in November, a holiday party in December, plus much more. Where do YOU fit in: Only you can tell us that.
